Canon does not bend. Death is real.
Adam Watson
Most shared universes are playgrounds with no floor. Your character falls off a cliff, respawns, and the story politely forgets you ever fell. It is frictionless, and it is weightless, and after a week you are bored, because a story where nothing can be lost is a story where nothing can be won.
Quantum Drift runs the other way. Canon does not bend. When your character dies, they stay dead. When your run goes sideways in a North Star raid, the limp stays in the story. The timeline on this site is not a wiki someone maintains — it is a ledger of what actually happened, kept by the GM, binding on everyone, including me.
Getting in
We can do this because the barrier to entry is one character and one short film. Mission 001 is simply: tell us who you are. Make a video introducing your character, or draw their origin comic, post it with #QuantumDrift, send us the link. That is it. That is your foot in the door of a universe that will remember it.
Players keep asking what happens if their character reaches canon and something terrible occurs to them on a Tuesday night livestream. The answer is the same one any good tabletop gives you: something terrible happened, and now it is the best story at the table. Grief is the tax on mattering.
The live reviews run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 PM Pacific. Bring your character. Make it count, because the universe is taking notes and it does not do revisions.
