There is a story going around that AI filmmaking and human artists are on opposite sides of a wall, and that you have to pick a lane. I do not accept the premise. I am a filmmaker. The people this technology actually threatens are the ones using it as a shortcut past craft — and the people it empowers are the ones who already had the craft and were waiting for the budget.

The policy, in writing

So here is the policy, in writing, where the lawyers can find it: we take no cut of any sale a human artist makes on Studio Action. None. Your price, your money. We feature you on the front page, we shelve your book at Trix Comic Store, we point the community at your work. Submission costs one dollar, which pays for the rack, not for us.

Compare that to the platforms that keep 30% because they own the door. The door here is not the product. The stories are the product, and stories need hands.

AI tools in this ecosystem do what tools have always done: they take the work between the work. Reel formats the PDF so you can keep writing the scene. The Workbench turns your stick-figure thumbnail into a finished frame so the shot in your head survives contact with your schedule. The artist decides. The artist always decides.
