Directors Circle
A review
for a review.
Here at AktionFilm we are all about supporting artists and emerging filmmakers. Got a short you want feedback on? Submit it, get handed someone else’s, pass it on. Three honest reviews within the week. Confidential by rule. An active room for the bettering of AI directing — like Benjamin Franklin’s club.
The rules
- Reviews are positive, with constructive criticism. Say what works, then what would make it stronger.
- A member’s project details stay confidential. What you see in the Circle stays in the Circle.
- Any abuse is removal from the Circle.
- You stay in the Circle by reviewing. Submit a piece, review the piece you are handed, pass it on.
- Occasionally merch and prizes from the Quantum store go to members who show up.
- What is the Directors Circle?
- A feedback circle on AktionFilm AI for emerging filmmakers and AI directors. You submit a piece, you are handed someone else’s piece to review, and you pass it on. A piece gets 3 reviews within about a week.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. You pay in reviews.
- When does the Circle meet?
- Thursdays at 8 pm Pacific, in the AktionFilm community feed under Inner Circle: open chat — cool ideas, suggestions, networking.
- Why "like Benjamin Franklin’s club"?
- Franklin’s Junto was a small circle that met weekly to improve each other’s work and thinking. This is that, for AI directing.
